Someone I know has 3 Misdemeanor Convictions. He was arrested for Unauthorized use of a Vehicle and GrandLarceny (not from a person). Both Felonies. While he was out on Bail, He did something to get his Bail Revoked. (Either Broke the Conditions of a Protective Order or OD'd trying to commit Suicide)
His First Misdemeanor he just got fined (and has a warrant in that state for non-payment). The Second was a felony Drug Possession that he plead down and he had the whole sentence Suspended.
On these 2, the Nolle Pros'd one.....then made the other a misdemeanor and Suspended the whole sentence. No Probation required. Basically got away without a slap on the wrist.
Could someone explain this to me?
The outcome of every case depends on a multitude of factors. If we are not involved in a particular case then none of us are in a position to know why the case was resolved in the manner in which it was.
