I was involved in a 3 car hit and run. I don’t qualify for gap and I only have liability. the guy who hit me insurance (national general) is claiming that I have to split the 10,000 liability with the other driver that was also hit. at first I was told I would be getting a settlement offer along with liability but now i’m being told I will just be getting partial liability. what can I do ?
Unfortunately, based on your description of the facts, it looks like the negligent party was carrying the state minimum for property damage of $10K. Since that is the limit liability under his auto policy, and since he caused damage to several vehicles, the $10K limit would need to be split.
