Hello i just moved into an apartment complex hasn't even been a month yet The post office says is $25 for them to come out and change the locks to get a key(previous renters did not return key) who is responsible for that fee?
Not really a question of law; more of a question of from whom would you normally obtain a mailbox key: the landlord or the Postal Service? If the landlord, then the previous tenant should have been charged the fee and the landlord should have obtained the new key before you moved in. If the Postal Service, then you would be responsible because the landlord is not involved.
