I live in Nevada with my 5 yr old son. Divorce and custody agreement were done in Iowa where my ex lives. He has voluntarily had no contact or paid child support in 4 years and I would like to terminate his parental rights. Where do I need to find a lawyer? If it must be Iowa, does it have to be the same county? I ask because there are many more options for attorneys in Des Moines.
You need to file where the child resides.
