My sons father filed for sole custody while I was pregnant and I didn't find out for 7 months. My son and I live in Ohio and have since before he was born (I've lived here 7 months, but the baby is 3 months old). His father filed for custody in Kentucky, where he lives. Will they move forward with the case even though he filed in the wrong jurisdiction? And if so, do I need an attorney from Ohio or Kentucky?
Since you're in or around Covington, I would look for an attorney that is licensed in both KY and Ohio. There should be many attorneys in that area that are licensed on both sides of the river.
