I was recently called into the DMV Where my drivers licence was put on one years probation.
A few months later I did get a ticket . I have received an extension but now would like to fight the charge. Can I do so in leiw of the extension?
The citation that you received will have information on where and how to go about challenging your citation. In the alternative you can hire a local traffic ticket attorney to handle this for you.
There really is not enough info here to answer your question. However, most likely you mean that your drivers license was on a one year suspension. If this is the case, it sounds like you were driving on a suspended license. Without knowing more details, this could have significant ramifications. You should hire a lawyer.
Go to the courthouse and see the clerk. Tell her that you want to appear on the ticket. Good luck.
The response above is general information related to law and not intended as legal advice since it’s impracticable to provide thorough, accurate advice based upon the query without additional details. It is highly recommended that one should seek advice from an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction by setting up a confidential meeting. Moreover, this response does not constitute the creation of an attorney-client relationship since this message is not a confidential communication because it was posted on a public website, thereby publicly disclosing the information, which is another reason to setup a confidential meeting with an attorney.
