You may visit the Butler County Recorder's Office located in the Administration Building, 130 High Street, 2nd Floor, in Hamilton, Ohio and obtain a copy of the current deed to the property. The deed will tell you exactly how the property is titled.

Look at the property records of your County Assessor. Generally, the Assessors office lists each parcel in the county and indicates who the owner is, as well as anyone who is paying the tax on the property. That is an easy place to start.
Another source, while a tad more expensive, is to ask any Title Insurance company in your area since they insure the title to property. Finally, most real estate people will be able to find this information as well.
