That is completely up to the DA. They are more likely to ask the Court for a reset and issue another subpoena for the new trial date. However, if their case is already weak, they may choose to dismiss it. Or they may determine that they have sufficient evidence to go forward without you.

Depends. What is the purposes of the court date? Trial? Its up to the DA. Why can't you take public transportation or a taxi or get a friend/family member to drive you?
