Decedent left her homestead property to her cousin and his fiance (who lived w/her taking care of her) in equal shares in her Will. 1/2 interest in homestead was transferred via Homestead Petition to decedent's cousin, the remaining 1/2 interest I was planning to transfer via Personal Representative Deed to the fiance, since not lineal descendant. Medicaid filed a $40,000.00 claim. We only have $30,000.00 left to pay toward Medicaid claim. As the Paralegal, I'm worried what the outcome might be, since the beneficiaries live there with a child and are really bad off, as well as the property itself. Thanks so much for any help! Boss's wife has been on the verge of death with Cancer, and is gone a lot!!! I'm all alone in this.
You work for an attorney and you are on a website asking for answers as to what to do in your job because your boss is not available? I don't think your boss would be very happy to see this, you could be setting him up for malpractice. If I were your boss and I saw that you had done this you would be fired immediately.

I am concerned that you are either trying to, or expected to, unlawfully practice law by handling more than you are capable of handling. You need to get a new job -- this is too much pressure on you and unfair to your boss.
I agree with the 2 previous comments. You need to take this matter to your boss.
