hi i would like to know what type of background check do they do if you got married on a jiff to a us citizen? i got a kid back at home and he is being taken care of by my parents and i have mostly been on my own all the time when i was back home. but now i wanna get married to this guy in usa cos im in love with him i have no intention of taking the kid away from my parents cos he;s life is settled there and everyone is ok with it. i mean i was not legally married when i had him it was more of a religious ceremony and i am not longer attached to the guy besides my kid sharing his name even though the guy has never been around to take care of him. am so lost i just dont want to create trouble for anyone. please help me. thankshere i am talking about getting married with a us citizen. do they do any weird background check if you got married on travel visa?
It is not clear what it is you are concerned about an employer finding out about you by conducting a background check. Of course, you must be documented and legally able to work in the U.S. But not having custody of your child should not be an issue. Employers cannot discriminate against job applicants because of their marital status, if that is your concern.
