My union has failed to misrepresent me in several situations, such as vacation time and retro pay. It's stated that the union and the company sits down every month to tackle issues between the company and employees. As well as discuss the CBA, if applicable. I call every 2 weeks for a update and it's the same thing "I have a meeting with the company this week." or "The company has canceled the meeting". It's been the same story for the past 19 months. They have failed to represent me in a timely matter and I need advice on what steps I should take. If any lawyers that may possibly help me out privately, please contact me. Thank you for your time in advance.
Depending on whether this is a public or private employment, your remedy will be a failure to represent claim. There may be other statutory claims available, which will need to be explored. You need to find a labor attorney immediately because the statute of limitations is running and if this has been going or 19 months, you may be boxed out of certain claims.
I volunteer answers and guidance because I like to help people. If you have nowhere else to go and are seeking legal advice online, I can only give you non-privileged general guidance for your information. Confidential and privileged legal advice may only be obtained by consulting an attorney in a non-public forum.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not. What determines Avvo Rating?Experience & background
