I think what you do is set up a face-to-face meeting with your lawyer to address all of your concerns. It's fairly easy for the lawyers who participate on Avvo to spot a situation where we think you need to hire a lawyer to help you. What is virtually impossible for us to do is to second guess the opinions of the lawyer you've already hired as there is no way that we can have a good enough grasp of the facts in your case based on a one-paragraph summary to do the same. In fact, if we tried to do that, we'd possibly be giving you some very faulty input.
Your case is too complicated to get any comprehensive answer here as to how to proceed. It sounds like you have an attorney, which is good. You need one. However, if you do not agree with your attorney's advice, then you are free to get a new one. You can search for an attorney through this site, by clicking the "Find a Lawyer" tab at the top of this page, and then searching for a workers compensation attorney in your area. Best of luck to you.
