I’m US citizen and have filled form I 130 for my wife for her immigration. After 6 months i have received I 797 approval notice from USIC. It says i have to wait for 30 days for any further information.
What are the next steps and how much will it take for my wife to come to US?
If the I-130 petition is being transferred to the NVC for consular processing, it can often take 6-8 weeks for the NVC to receive the petition, open a file, and send you an instruction packet with a new case number and invoice ID number. If you need help with the NVC and immigrant visa process, you should consult with an immigration attorney. It can be a complicated and unforgiving process.
