I am in the true default phase of my divorce and the packet got pushed back mainly because of child support. I did not have an Fl-191 form in my file which that is being done now. Do I need to do a request for order of child support(FL-300) to finalize the divorce? I was under the impression that I did not have to do it right away if I did not want to.
You have to put "the issue of child support is reserved" or you can put that it is presently set at zero. Go to the self-help desk.
There are 5 primary issues that must be addressed in a judgment for divorce. They can be addressed with an order (i.e., that child support of $x shall be paid to parent "y"), or by reserving the issue for a later decision upon request of the parties.
The issues are (1) status of the marriage, (2) child custody and visitation, (3) child support, (4) spousal support, and (5) division of assets and debts.
