I applied for a CR1 visa and our case is at the nvc now.. my wife (the petitioner) is still a university student so we have the joint sponsor ready to help us out
What should he be filling now?
Once you have paid AOS fee online your wife and joint sponsor will need to complete Form I864 with accompanying evidence including, last year tax return, W2, last three months pay stubs, employment verification letter and bank letter.
The joint sponsor needs the same documentation as the petitioner. Get the certified transcripts from www.IRS.gov for the past three years and fill out the I-864 (both petitioner and joint sponsor need to do separate ones). You should also provide an employer letter or three months worth of pay stubs to prove the sponsor still has a job. No need to provide a bank statement if the joint sponsor earns enough money.
