A tree fell in my yard due to a storm on April 8, 2019, my landlord was informed the following day and they have not yet had it removed. I’ve even filed a claim with my local Code of enforcement who’ve found them in violation and required that they remove the tree by April 29th which is Monday and they have still not removed it. I called my land lord this morning and they stated they don’t know when the company they chose can get to it. This is an inconvenience as well as a fire hazard.
You gave the LL notice in writing....right? If so, I'd give the LL three more days IAW the enforcement citation (well done by the way) . Then consider a tenants assertion at local court---rent money goes to the court instead of the LL. Court then decides how much (if any) of the money the LL gets of it and how much goes back to you.
