After my midterm I was stopped and asked for campus ID which I presented. Then they returned with my ID and a police officer asked for my contact number incase they need to contact me. I was then contacted via email to come in for questioning to the university security department. No further information was given to me .
Do I have to go?
should I have a lawyer present with me for the interview?
If I go without lawyer and I find that they are accusing me of something I did not do - then bring in a lawyer?
I would not submit to questioning without knowing what this is about and/or without a lawyer. You have no idea if you are a witness or the target of an investigation.
