My boyfriend is 18, he and his two friends were under the influence and one of them went in and robbed a gas station and shot the clerk. My boyfriend didn't go in, he didn't rob the place or even touch the gun. He was just driving and he waited in the car. They were so bad under the influence that he can hardly even remember what happened or who was with them. He didn't know that his friend had shot the woman until they were already back in our home town. This is his first and only offense. The woman that was shot made a full recovery. Some people have told him he will do 10 years and serve 7. While others have told him that he will be released on 5 years of probation. This happened January 20th. His bond was set at 500,000. They have only went to court twice, and both times it was video court and all they did was give them a continuance. His next court date is April 14 and I believe they will be getting a bond reduction. I'm just trying to know what to expect, so what do you think he will most likely be sentenced?
Unfortunately, no attorney on this site can answer your question. There are to many variables and facts we do not know. You need to speak with his attorney, that is the person that knows what is happening. If he does not have an attorney, either appointed or private, he needs one right away.
