About 15 years ago I was sentenced to 13 years in federal prison of which I served 11. The judge also sentenced me to 50 years of supervised release but during my change of plea hearing she told me I would be sentenced to up to three years of supervised release. Come February of 2021 I will have served my three years of supervised release and wish to appeal to the promise she made during my change-of-plea hearing of up to three years supervised release. Do I have a case?
Judges don’t make “promises.” Judges make decisions. Talk with a criminal defense lawyer to find out your options and possibilities.
