I have a felony warrant in McLain county for possession of cds. This was the beginning of 2016 when I received the charge. I was never arrested. The police just took my info and the evidence and later back in Texas I begin receiving letters saying I have the charges. I would like to get all this taken care of the easiest way possible. I have been completely sober for a few yrs now and have a good job. I don't want this situation to come back and bite me in the ass. Also I would like to be able to keep it off my record if possible. Is there any way to pay fines or take a probation that could keep it off my record I have no other priors in Oklahoma but I did do time here in texas.
You need to conference with counsel in McLain County who does criminal case representation so she or he can assist you.
Best of luck.
The foregoing is general information only, and this communication does not create an attorney-client relationship. Always conduct a detailed, in-depth, in-person consultation with an attorney before deciding on a legal course of action, since meaningful legal advice has to take into account considerable factors that have not been disclosed or discussed.
You need to contact an attorney immediately to review the facts and reach out to the state of Oklahoma quickly to see what they are willing to do. Possession of CDS is a misdemeanor everywhere which carries up to one year in the county jail and $1000 fine. But back in 2016 it was still a felony offense carrying up to 10 years in the penitentiary, a much more serious range of punishment.
