Whether heirs are close or not to a decedent is irrelevant. The only important factor is whether they take under the contingency or not. If they do take and an irrevocable trust is established, then they could have rights under the Washington Trust Act, which could include an initial report and annual reports sent to them. Good Luck!
Closeness doesn't matter in this case. What matters is what the will or trust says. If they belong to the enumerated people or class of people who inherit, that is all that is required.
