CPS got involved due to him being a failure to thrive baby. He is 6 months and weighs a little over 11 pounds. He has spit up a lot with every formula he has tried. He has acid reflux. He has had his formula changed 7-8 times. He was admitted in the hospital. We spent about 2 weeks in Louisville children hospital. Pediatrics told social worker she believes the parents are to blame for parts of him not gaining. He has a strict eating schedule. We've seen multiple different doctors and had no different test done. He eats baby food. He was also with with eczema. There are many things me and the father do extra to help him gain weight. We've made suggestions to sed pediatrician and it was completely ignored. There are many more issues to cover as well. The father and I are worried to death about our boy and having social services on our back makes the situation much worse.
It is not your job to prove your innocence. Try to cooperate with the social worker and physicians to help get your child to thrive. Perhaps a different Dr. can perform an evaluation of your child. This would be a 2nd opinion which may be helpful.
