In August, I had a doggie meet and greet with a gentleman who was renting a room I was interested in. We took our dogs for a walk together to see how well they got along. The walk went fine. Both dogs were at ease and sniffed each other without issue. When we returned to the gentleman's home, we took the dogs out to his back yard to give them water. I explained to him that my dog gets possessive and moody over bowls of food and to be careful. He let his dog off the leash and mine was still on her leash. I had a hold of her. As he put the bowl down, his dog went for it as my dog did and my dog bit his dog. Am I responsible for the whole bill even though he was warned and his dog was off leash?
