My ex business partner "quit" our business in July 2018 and shut down our bank account, a violation of our operating agreement, and is now holding all our receipts from that year so that we can't do our taxes properly unless I pay her an arbitrary sum of money that we have not agreed upon. I would like to do my taxes for the year of 2018 but without that information it will be incorrect.
Anyone whose name was on the closed bank account documents can get copies of all statements, checks and deposits for calendar year 2018 (and earlier, if desired). As former co-owners of the business you are also able to force your ex partner to turn over copies of all business records in his possession or in any place under his control.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
