A few weeks ago I joined a challenge that stated I would have to put a $500 deposit and follow their instructions after I completed the challenge I would get my money back. In the contract it states all the rules for example it says that since I'm 5'4 at the end of the challenge I should weigh 150 but now that I'm almost done with my challenge I'm being told that I have to weigh in at 138 to get my money back. If I don't lose that much weight my money is gone and I have to pay an additional $800 for the rest of the year. But nowhere on the contract does it state that. I'm not the only one this is happening to!
Sounds like a scam. More details are needed to determine the right course of action here.
I agree that this sounds like a scam. You should locate an attorney that specializes in consumer protection matters and have them review all of your documents to see if there is something you can do.
I agree with the previous answers. This sounds like a scam. You can use the "Find a Lawyer" tab at the top of the page as an avenue to locate an attorney. Good luck.
