Hello. I am interested in setting up an LLC to sell jello shots via an online website with delivery. I am unable to find anything other than general alcohol regulations within the NRS on what type of liquor license is required. I would like to work with someone to obtain all permits/licenses necessary to sell business to consumer and possibly business to business.
There are a LOT of issues you have to deal with, especially dealing with something potentially dangerous like alcohol - auto and other liability insurance, regulations on selling liquor, etc. Get to an attorney, and do it right.
This response is only general information and is not legal advice. It does not form an attorney-client relationship and should not be relied upon to take or refrain from taking any action. You should seek a qualified attorney before taking any action related to your inquiry.
The best advice I can give you is to find a business attorney in Washoe that you feel comfortable working with and let him/her guide you through this process. Any liquor based business requires great care in set up and licensing and needs more guidance than you can get on this site.
I 100% agree with my colleagues and you most certainly will want a local business lawyer to guide you through this process. Alcohol-related businesses have various complex licensing, regulatory, insurance, liability, and other issues that you will want to understand fully before getting too deep into this. Good luck.
Answer given for general advice and is not a legal opinion, which would require an analysis of the facts and circumstances as well as the applicable law and regulations.
There are a number of factors I would need to consider. In Nevada, alcohol law answers need to account for local rules also. As far as practitioners, perhaps Matt Saltzman (Vegas) or Karen Ross (Henderson) could be helpful.
