Father was diagnosed with cancer is in hospital and now refuses to continue housing support or any support payments he and i had a verbal agreement..he is refusing to continue paying rent stating being in the hospital and has added bills he can't but has been able to stop all payments electronically can he be legally held to his agreement and can he just stop paying for her house expense without reasonable cause?
You would somehow have to prove the agreement in court, and that it was perpetual in nature and could not be broken for some reason. I would suspect arguing a direly sick elderly parent who has increased medical bills due to a terminal illness would not persuade a judge to honor the agreement regardless.

I agree; in the absence of a court order, then the question is: can you prove to the satisfaction of a judge your verbal agreement (and terms) - as well as paternity (i.e., if that hasn't already been judicially established). No way to tell here on line whether that is possible. Suggest you consult with a good local family law attorney ASAP. if you have little or no income, you should be able to get assistance from your local legal aid.
Hope this helps.
