Very recently Placer County Code Enforcement we're serving an abatement on my next door neighbors property after serving him with an inspection warrant due to the his messy yard. Placer County hired Junk King to haul off his trash. A Placer County Code Compliance officer
was there supervising the Junk King workers while doing the abatement. After it was completed I saw everything on the side of my house on my property was gone! EVERYTHING. They took everything I had stored on the side of my home off of my property without a warrant or notice and hauled it away . They also damaged some of my property. What legal actions can i take and who to take action on? I already filed complaints with Placer County and Junk King. The officer who did the follow up call from Placer County laughed and did not believe that my property was taken. Junk King has yet to get back to me. I've received a Tort Claim by email from Placer County Board of Supervisors. I need help fast please. Any legal advice will be appreciated. Thank you.
You should file a Government Claim with the County. If or when the claim is rejected, file a Federal Civil Rights case in Federal Cour, along with supplemental California state law claims.
