My boyfriend was involved in a robbery of a ps4. There were 3 people involved no weapons were used, it’s believed that the 2 other people set up the robbery through an app and my boyfriend was just there with them.
The best result would be for the robbery charge to be either dismissed or reduced to a lesser charge where your boyfriend could complete informal probation without any juvenile hall time and then have his record sealed. As long as the charge remains a robbery, then his record cannot be sealed and it will remain as a strike on his record forever. Hopefully he has an attorney who is familiar with the juvenile justice system.
There isn't a "one size fits all" resolution. He might get juvenile probation, he could be sent to the Division of Juvenile Justice (formerly known as the California Youth Authority) or tried as an adult, or the changes might get dismissed.
