After a long intricate lawsuit over ownership of a property a settlement was reached. That settlement is being appealed before the supreme court. The plaintiff is attempting to present this himself. What are the potential outcomes of him doing this without representation?
He will either be granted a review or denied a review. Statistically, even with an attorney its unlikely to be granted a review. Without an attorney, its more rare/unlikely (although it does happen). If he is granted a review, he will have to present it to the Justices, who will grill him with tons of tough questions.
Doing this pro se (absent an attorney) is a very difficult thing. I cannot encourage you enough to solicit the assistance of a seasoned, experienced appellate attorney.
