If your prior convictions are over 10 years old AND the sentence you served on the priors ended over 10 years ago, then they should not be used on a scoresheet. However, keep in mind that this means no other offenses in the time in between. So, for example, if your last prior conviction was in 1999, and you served 5 years of prison, then that prior will still be on your scoresheet because the sentence expired less than 10 years ago. Basically, you have you go 10 years trouble free (and not be serving a sentence during that time).
Possession of Alprazolam (Xanax) is typically a Level 3 offense (assuming you aren't charged with trafficking). Level 3 offenses score 16 points.
