My girlfriend has sole-custody of her daughter and the father has visitation. Their therapist wants to implement overnight visits. However, the child isn't comfortable around her father and the father lives in an 1br basement apt with his wife and no extra space to accommodate his daughter.
He needs to have a separate bed. Regardless of what a therapist recommends, if there is no order of visitation from the court, the mother does not have to grant the father overnight parenting time.
