I have tolerated the worst neighbors ever for the past 8 months. I rent from an HOA board member with my 15 month old son. Since they’ve moved in, the neighbor’s noise level had gotten increasingly worse. I’ve rented in this condo complex for the past 12 years and never had noise issues with any neighbors, before them. I wrote them a couple of very nice letters explaining they they need to be quiet after 10 pm per HOA rules. They have consistently been ignoring my requests and continue to talk loudly (I can hear them through my walls), stomp around, take showers, etc. all past 10 pm. I texted their landlord asking him to speak with them to to keep their noise level doeb past 10 pm. No dice. They continue and I’ve had to call the police non emergency line to make about four conplants now in the past two months. Their landlord informed me that the eviction process has started as of the last week of January. It is now the first week of Feb and there’s no sign that they’re leaving...there’s been other issues as well such as parking too close to my car which I took pictures of. What do I do? I just want peace and quiet!
You have to report the violation to your landlord and the HOA. Your landlord has the obligation to provide you with a quite environment free of any nuisance (such as your neighbor). You are not required to do all you have been doing in trying to get someone to stop the conduct. The HOA, if indeed the CCR's do not allow the noise level you are experiencing, also has an obligation to your landlord, and by extension you. If the neighbors are being evicted that takes some time
