What is a reasonable amount of time for father to notify mother if he is going out of town and unable to pick up the children for his visitation time with them (which means mother would have to pick them up)? Ex messaged me two weeks ago that he may not be in town to pick up the kids for his visit due to a work expo he is attending 2/19-2/21. I asked him to notify me within 48 hours prior to 2/19 whether he will be able to pick them up or not so I can make any necessary schedule changes. At exchange this evening, I asked if he's going and he said he will let me know. He then uses OFW to message me that he doesn't need to notify me if he is going anywhere just whether or not he is able to pick up the kids and 48 hours prior to his Wednesday visit would be tomorrow.
Technically, he's correct but in dodging the issue, I think he's feeling pressured. It would seem that you established 48 hours as a reasonable time and then kept asking.
