My wife got to a car accident and her car was total loss but she was not at fault and the other driver insurance only cover 10k property damage and from that 10k they take out rental fee out of that and storage fee and she end up with 9k something to make story short they only giving her 9k something for her car to the lien holder but the car have a value of 19k since they not paying the full car value why are they asking for GUARANTEES OF TITLE I'm confuse I need help now
You should consult with an attorney before settling. Even though the at-fault driver claims to only have minimal insurance, an experienced attorney may be able to determine that you have other recourse. Since you appear to still owe $10,000 on the totaled vehicle after insurance, it would seem prudent to explore all of your options now before finalizing the property damage claim. Best regards.
