prior charges of petty theft and grand theft as well but at least 10 years agoim not on probation and my attorney just recently filed prop47 but they are having problems finding the court transcripts
The 487 is a reference to Grand Theft.
The HA is a mystery. I'd guess that you're looking at court records and that's a notation to indicate that the charge was Held to Answer at preliminary hearing.
Any statements I make in these forums (fora?) should not be taken as direct legal advice, merely informed guidance. This is true due to the anonymous nature of this venue, and the incomplete information which is invariably provided by the questions. It is imperative that you consult directly with an attorney regarding your specific situation before acting on or relying on anything represented here. Period.
When a legal question arises, please let us know so we can help.

Penal Code section 487 is a grand theft. No idea what the "HA" is
No legal advice is given here. My responses to questions on Avvo are never intended as legal advice and must NOT be relied upon as if they were legal advice. I give legal advice ONLY in the course of a formal attorney-client relationship. Exchange of information through Avvo's Questions & Answers forum does not establish an attorney-client relationship with me. That relationship is established only by joint execution of a written agreement for legal services. I am only licensed in the States of California and New York and the District of Columbia
You could benefit from meeting with an attorney to discuss further. Get a copy of the court docket and bring it to the meeting. Even if you decide not to hire the attorney the consultation with him or her could help you to understand the issues and your options. Many attorneys offer a free consultation. I wish you the best and Merry Christmas.
The response above is not intended as legal advice since it’s impracticable to provide thorough, accurate advice based upon the query without additional details. It is highly recommended that one should seek advice from a criminal defense attorney licensed in your jurisdiction by setting up a confidential meeting. Moreover, this response does not constitute the creation of an attorney-client relationship since this message is not a confidential communication because it was posted on a public website, thereby publicly disclosing the information, which is another reason to setup a confidential meeting with an attorney.
