My fiance is insisting in getting a prenup, I dont thing is necessary since we dont have a lot of money, we each own a pc of property plus a good savings account. My question is the money on the savings will eventually be turned into a pc of real estate, what happens in that case if the money saved was secured by a prenup? Will he be the only owner of the property?
There's not nearly enough info to answer your question. But, it all comes down to the terms of the agreement (prenup). Likely, the property will be owned by the people listed on the deed regardless of the agreement. That being said, have an attorney review the agreement before you sign it. Your attorney should explain what you are gaining and what you are giving up by signing.
