I was a derivative of my husband's asylum case. He abandoned the case right before the interview. We have already applied for Work Authorization Document and SSN, since the EAD clock has passed 150 days at that time. Will DHS issue Work authorization in this circumstances?
Even my husband abandoned the case, I would like to stay in US and study, work and live. What are my options to do so in this situation?
You may wish to have an appointment with an immigration attorney to review your situation and what options you have. Your avenues to remain will depend on whether you’ve accumulated unlawful presence and whether you have valid non-immigrant visa status.
EADs will not be issued, there is no basis for it.
