A 14 year old boy and my daughter have been sexting and i just found out what can i do?
They both likely can be charged with child pornography for sending and having sexually explicit images of children under 18, even they are the children in the images.
If the 14-year-old gets upset about something, he may send off your daughter's images to others. (If he does that, he can be charged with more criminal law charges.)
Perhaps the 14-year-old let someone else use his phone and that third person sends your daughter's images to others.
Is there any real reason why your daughter needs a phone? If she cannot behave herself, perhaps it is time to take away the phone.
Do you know who the 14-year-old's parents are? Perhaps they will help you retrieve your daughter's images and delete the images.
You can get a court order that prohibits the 14-year-old from contacting your daughter.
Before you call the police or file a court petition, you should keep in mind that your daughter may well be charged. So, you should review the specific facts with your attorney before you inadvertently get your daughter involved with the legal system.
This is a very serious crime on both their parts. I suggest you taking their phone away or buying a old phone without internet / picture capabilities.
