My husband cut his leg monitor off and has been on the run. He only had 5 months left. He had a 5 year 8 month sentence and did most of his time. Got out on parole a month later cut his monitor off and has been on the run ever since. He seems to think he will get away with not having to do anything just pay off his parole and they will let him go since he did most of his in prison. Is this true will any charges be added for this?
No he will not simply let this go. Most people on parole are not on leg monitors so his was a serious situation. He can be revoked and imprisoned for the balance of his sentence (or paroled again.)
What happens?!? When he gets caught, not if, because they will catch up to him. He will be locked up and faces ultimately going back to prison. Cutting off the ankle monitor is a big deal. He should be talking to a lawyer - he needs one.
