I Stopped at a friends house for about 30 mins the wife wasn't home the husband can't work is an alcoholic and is in severe pain also on pain meds , the wife uses pain patches the same as I do and she now is accusing me of taking hers!! But I know several times she's asked me if she could get some from me cause she ran out so I'm thinking she's or her husband is abusing them and is looking for someone to blame!! I don't and didn't take hers nor would I!!
You run not walk in hiring a Criminal Attorney to consult with first. The police are there to make a case AGAINST you and any statement you make will be used AGAINST you despite what they say in their friendly, " we just want your side of the story " questions. Don't fall for it.
Providing general answers are meant to help the poster to understand some complex legal concepts and in no way creates an attorney-client relationship.
I agree with Attorney Holton. PSP wants to speak with you to help them strengthen their case against you. Don't help them convict you. If they think they have a case against you they will charge you. There is nothing you can tell them that will change their mind if they see you as a suspect. Remain silent and lawyer up.
I'll make it unanimous. Do not speak with the police until consulting with criminal defense counsel. And don't be surprised if counsel tells you not to talk to the police.
