I have findings and order aftter hearing order and in it says for a further hearing have 30 days with 5 days to the opposing counsiel.because my attorney sucks at her job, today is day 25. And i dont think i have enough time. What do i do? I need help or advice fast.
Your question is unclear. If you dislike the job your attorney is doing, I highly recommend you contact him or her and explain the concerns you have. Do so in writing.
Our firm takes Avvo.com clients, however, the comments in this post are information only and does not create an attorney client relationship.
Your attorney can still give notice and/or get a waiver if he/she contacts opposing counsel by phone and gets consent to give notice by email or fax. Your other option is to fire that attorney, go to court on the date of the hearing, tell the court you need more time to get a new attorney, and ask for a continuance.
The post is quite difficult to understand as to what exactly is the issue. If you believe your attorney is not up to par, then it is your obligation to find new counsel and do so immediately. If routine deadlines are missed, the writing is on the wall and you will be well served to get a new attorney.
