My ex husband put a restraining order against me because I went to his job and put a note on his car asking when would I receive my spousal support check for the month. It has been something we communicate about every month except this month he got mad with my daughter and I and because I wasn’t able to reach him by phone I left a note on his car at work.
You should then only communicate thru ur attorneys. This would be a violation of a protective order or a restraining order.
If the restraining order is pending and you don’t appear it will likely be granted. If you appear, you can contest it.
It does not sound like a restraining order is warranted based upon the facts you have stated.
If you fail to appear at the hearing, it is likely that the restraining order will be granted, and probably made into an injunction. In rare cases, I have seen judges get confused and issue bench warrants for failure to appear.
