I filed a Motion to dismiss, and I received a letter from the court stating the District court signed the motion and ordered a hearing. Can someone explain that to me, please?
I think you best look at the court's actual file here.....what it appears is that your motion has been placed on the calendar for a hearing.
It is hard to say what that entry means. Usually, if they just signed an Order dismissing the case there would be no need for a hearing. So the best guess is that the hearing will be to decide the Motion, but I agree going to Court and looking at the file is your best way to find out.
