My niece wants to sue her grandfather for the rights to her UTMA, the bank said all he has to do is come up there and sign a paper but he wont do it. So she's taking him to court, she doesn't have an attorney, she's filing herself. She just doesn't know what forms to file.
How old is your niece? Is she 21 yet? Is she 18 yet? What was the source of the transfer? Do you know how much is in the account? The Uniform transfers to miners act is K.S.A. 38-1701 and following. It is available on the web at: http://www.kslegislature.org/li_2014/b2013_14/statute/. Read the entire act. Notice 38-1721.
My guess is that she ie between 18 and 21 and not yet eligible for payment.
