273.5 is what they have been trying to put on my bf. Really it mutual combat to be completely honest. Just now they have pc1170.12 + pc296. What an why an how are these an what will most likely happen? We have awsome concil now. But these are new as of today. Why?
Penal Code 1170.12 is what is known as California's Three Strikes Law, which means that your boyfriend could be facing a potential life sentence if this will be his third strike. It also works to double the sentence on a second strike offense. This is a very serious charge. Evidently your boyfriend has past and the DA taking issue with the fact that he is a repeat offender with a strike prior. Penal Code 296 was added because the DA is requesting that the judge order that your boyfriend submit a blood and saliva sample. It's a good thing you have awesome council. Best of luck.
