my fiance was evicted from an apartment last year he went to court and they filed a judgment i was looking through the general sessions records to find out how much the judgment was for and under status it says disposed i was wondering what that meant i searched online and could not find a straightforward answer.
That probably means that there is nothing else to be done in the case. In an eviction case once the defendant has been evicted the matter has been taken care of or disposed. the court has handled the case.
You are looking at public access. It will not give full details of the case. To get full details you will need to get an attorney to access the court file and advise your next steps. That or you can try yourself.
Sometimes even though you are evicted, there is still a monetary judgment for damages. This can create a lien or other obligation that can negatively affect your financial status. You need to get this resolved.
