I applied for my EAD renewal and I received a letter that due to a report that i was arrested on date X, I have to present some sort of proof that my case is either dismissed or closed.
I was detained because of holding a fraudulent check for two hours and released quickly, I have a release letter from the local police department that I was DETAINED and not arrested.
Because of the fact that my case was never sent to a court I do not have any proof. is that letter enough?
what should I do?
It appears from your statement that the letter would be sufficient. The USCIS might be able to answer your question more definitively. https://www.uscis.gov/
