My fiance and I recently had my oldest step daughter come live with us. Her mom was in a bad way and felt it would be a better situation. My fiance ended up leaving the home for a few weeks due to an argument. A report was filed stating that I didn't have legal documentation for her to be with me. But her mom knew and was okay with it. The report also said that her dad would be gone for days on end. Which at the time was true. But my daughter was still being taken care of, still going to school, still being fed, and clothed, and all that. Dhr ended up putting her in a safety plan with me. Yesterday the case worker told me that I had breached the safety plan by not keeping her informed on our current living arrangements bc I had been evicted right at the time all this happened. But I told this woman what the plan was and the had said okay. Now she's saying that I didn't, she took my daughter, and we have court 72 hours from yesterday. Are there any lawyers who might take the case pro Bono, or let me make some kind of payments?
