I own a property in this condo association. I want my son to be able to vote on my behalf , in an upcoming annual condo association meeting that I will not be able to attend.
For a non-owner of a condominium to vote on your behalf, you must generally provide a "proxy" form to the Condo. Board Members ahead of the meeting at which you desire to be represented by proxy.
A proxy form is really just a piece of paper where you state that you want your interest to be represented by another person and that the person you choose can vote on your behalf.
Whether or not you can vote by proxy will be dependent on the bylaws of your condo. association because there is no law in Massachusetts which directly governs the issue. However, most condo. association bylaws have sections regulating proxy voting. That is where you will find your answer.
